Lenas Playboy
Pepto is a young stallion with exceptionally good breeding. Kings
Creek Ranch looked long & hard for just the right stallion and just
the right trainer to help such a stallion meet his full
potential. We feel we have found the right match with Shane
Vaughan and Lenas Playboy Pepto.
Lenas Playboy Pepto, a.k.a. Hugh, is an
amazing athlete. Even at such a young age, he has proven at what
his bloodlines only hinted....he is a natural cow-working
Machine! Hugh is not afraid to get down and to go nose-to-nose
with any cow. We can't wait until he hits the professional
showring. Currently, Shane Vaughan has Hugh in training to do
just that.
Shane is able to share our
Championship vision for 'Hugh'. He sees the as yet untapped
potential in Hugh. Shane always says that you can't learn to
finish a horse until you've learned the proper way to start them; You
need to know what makes them 'tick'. His horse-psychology type
approach to his daily training techniques makes for a calm, sound horse
with a solid foundation on which to build all the necessary schooling
that comes later for a future champion. Lenas Playboy Pepto has
come a long way on this steady path to the cutting pen. You can
already see the gleam in Hugh's eye when he sets his sights on a cow to
manipulate and maneuver. To watch Shane & Hugh together is
such a satisfying sight for Kings Creek Ranch; Together, the two are
poetry in motion. Watch for them to burn up the cutting pen in
