Kings Creek
Ranch sits on 10 acres of beautiful Texas
countryside just outside of Kaufman, TX southeast of Dallas.
This small, family owned & operated ranch offers just about
everything a horse owner could desire. Because the Powell Family
lives at Kings Creek Ranch, there is on-site 24-hour care for the
horses. The horses are fed twice daily (a 14% pellet) and hayed
often (Alfalfa & Coastal).
|
Our
breeding barn houses 8 stalls. One of these stalls is
doubled in size and reserved for foaling mares (or rehabilitating
horses in the off season). It provides a safe, roomy environment
for the mare to give birth.
|
There
is a Breeding Lab located in the barn to allow for on-site analysis of
all semen samples. The lab also properly maintains/stores all
semen samples in a clean/hygenic environment prior to shipping or insemination.
|

A foal holding
area keeps
all foals contained while the mares are being checked and/or
artificially inseminated. This keeps Momma & foal both
calm & safe.
|
The
barn stalls have solid wooden walls that ensure foals can not get their
feet hung in any railing. The stalls are kept clean and filled
with wooden shavings.
|

There
are 4 outside turnouts, 4 holding pens, and 3 pastures on Kings Creek
Ranch. All pastures/turnouts
provide ample space for mares & foals to exercise and enjoy the
tranquil, soothing atmosphere.
|
A
large, lighted arena provides a safe riding
area. The arena
lights allow for riding time at night (after the sun goes down) when it
is much cooler during the summer months. (The arena is
approximately 150X200.) We also offer a round pen to work with
the horses in a more close-up situation.
|

We extend an
open
invitation to all. Come on by and experience our warm and welcoming
Texas-sized hospitality - even the horses want to say "Howdy!"
